SAN JOSE, Tarlac – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) joint outreach program treated some 500 families from barangays Maamot and Sula here.
Brigadier General Henry Robinson, 702ndBrigade Commander, said reaching out and helping the populace is one of the priorities of the Philippine Army.
Among the services provided include medical and dental check-up, free haircut, free appliance repair, feeding, and distribution of medicines, used clothes and toys.
“You are the highlight of this outreach activity so that you will have the basic social services that you need and deserve,” Gen. Robinson said.
“Your security forces are reaching to serve you as your companion towards a better life in your respective communities,” he added.
“Together with other government agencies, we will continue to provide basic social services to remote areas within our area of operation,” Robinson assured.
The activity also featured a puppet show and a theater play presentation depicting partnership and unity with the government towards an insurgency-free and peaceful community.
