ORION, Bataan – Police on Friday reported the recovery of five cows stolen by five men while left in a pasture land in an upland barangay here.
PO3 Melchor Asebias, Orion police investigator, said the cattle were turned over to owner Luzviminda Hular of Barangay Daan Pare, Orion.
He said that manhunt operation is still ongoing to arrest the suspects who fled in the mountainous area of Barangays Upper Sabatan and Upper Mabato in Orion.
Asebias said the owner left the cows to graze at a farmland near her hut but when she came back, the animals were already gone. Police found the cows at the mountainous area of Sabatan three days after they were reported missing.
Chief Insp. Elmer Santiago said they are preparing a case for violation of the Anti-Cattle Rustling Law against the five suspects who remained at-large.
