Arrested in the initial operation was Alfredo Cunanan of Barangay Matain. His cohort, identified as a certain “Edwin” managed to escape.
In a police raid led by Inspector Bardaje, chief of the municipal anti-drug unit, arrested while having pot session were Florencio Añora, 44, Romeo Reyes, 53, Sonny Libre, 22, all residents of Barangay Matain; and Ben Torres, 44, resident of Barangay Banicain, Olongapo City.
Recovered from the suspects were four piec – es of heat-sealed trans – parent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Chief Inspector Leonardo Madrid, head of Subic PNP, vowed no letup in the intensified campaign of the local police against illegal drugs.
The suspects are now detained at Subic PNP detention cell fac – ing charges for violation of Section 5, 13, 14, Article ll of RA 9165.
