The four children are Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia, Balanga City Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III, Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia and financial analyst Francis Garcia.
The elder Garcia is eyeing either a re-election as congressman of the province’s second district or as vice-governor of Albert who is seeking reelection.
Jose Enrique who is on his last term as city mayor will be fielded either for vice mayor of Balanga or for congressman of the second district. Gila will seek re-election as mayor of Dinalupihan.
Political neophyte Francis, a member of the Board of Directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, is groomed for the mayorship of Balanga City.
All of them belong to the National Unity Party (NUP).
The possible opponents of the five are still unknown. Former Chairman Felicito Payumo of the Bases Conversion Development Authority, a Liberal Party member, was rumored to slug it out with Gila in the Dinalupihan mayoral race but this has remained to be seen.
These will all be known during the filing of Certificates of Candidacy on October 12- 16, 2015.
In the congressional race in the first district, Geraldine Roman of the LP wants to replace mother Rep. Herminia Romanwho is on her last term. Geraldine will be the first transgender to be seeking an elective post in Bataan.
It will not be an easy fight for Geraldine because she will be challenged by Mayor Danilo Malana, NUP, of Hermosa and reportedly by Mayor Benjamin Serrano, Jr., Nacionalista Party, of Orani.
