CABANATUAN CITY – Forty-nine commissioned police officers have finished a three-month training on basic education that aimed to further hone their skills in crime solving, a ranking police official said Thursday.

Nueva Ecija police director Col. Richard Caballero said the commissioned officers trained on Investigation Officers Basic Course held at the provincial police headquarters here.

They were awarded certificates of completion during the closing ceremonies graced by Col. Sadur Ediong, chief of Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division on Wednesday, Caballero said.

Ediong who represented Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo, Jr. underscored the importance of proper investigation to solve crimes, to give justice to the victims, and to put the law offenders behind the bars of justice.

“We are always being called to respond, mediate, and resolve crimes, thus, proper investigation is comparable to good police-community relations,” he said.

The 49 completers under Class 236-2023 include Col. Jean dela Torre, who also earned Academic Excellence and Leadership Awards being top No. 1 and class president; Col. Jebie Timario, No. 2; and Maj. Vincent David Bagangan, No. 3 and class marcher.

The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office command group and staff headed by Lt. Col. Julius Ceazar Manucdoc, deputy provincial director for administration; and Lt. Col. Renato Morales, deputy provincial for operations also graced the graduation ceremonies.
