Giving the victory sign
CLARK FREEPORT – All 262 passengers who arrived at the Clark International Airport here Friday on board an Emirates commercial flight have been released Sunday, 48 hours after arrival.
This, after the results of their RT-PCR tests were released by the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in the City of San Fernando which “committed and delivered this very impressive turn-around time,” the Bases Conversion and Development Authority said in a Facebook post.
All the passengers are now on their way home, onboard Genesis buses from the CRK.
The BCDA said the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration took charge of the overseas Filipino workers while the Department of Tourism took care of the returning non-OFWs among the passengers.
The Department of Interior and Local Government and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board also mobilized teams to bring them back to their hometowns, the BCDA added.
The BCDA also hailed the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp., the operator of CRK: “Consistent with LIPAD’s Mission of providing our customers with a seamless travel experience, this is indeed a remarkable occasion as we fulfill the wish of our stranded heroes to at last see their families at the soonest possible time.” – With BCDA Comm Group
