ANGELES CITY — The city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will administer free anti-flu vaccines to 4,682 city government employees beginning November 13, 2023 via schedule.
Comprising the 4,682 employees are 889 permanent; 328 casual; 15 contractual; and 3,450 contract of service employees.
“This is part of our promise that we will continue to put top priority on the health of our workers since they are vital in providing the services needed by our constituents,” Mayor Lazatin said.
Mayor Lazatin will deploy the Ronda Bakuna Bus, which will be manned by Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rodolfo Simeon, to fast-track the said inoculation.
Furthermore, the City Health Office led by Dr. Verona Guevarra will head the vaccination proper.
Lazatin also instructed City Human Resources and Management Officer Rowena Yambao for the scheduling of employees and to monitor the attendance of the government workers during the actual vaccination.
A team from CHO, CHRMO, and ACDRRMO will be supervised by Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
Meanwhile, Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA) President Flordeliza Santos expressed her utmost gratitude to Mayor Lazatin for providing these free flu vaccines.
“Isa na naman po itong patunay ng kanyang malasakit sa aming mga manggagawa. Lagi pong sinisugurado ni Mayor Pogi na malusog at maayos ang aming kalagayan. With that, maasahan po ni Mayor at ng mga Angeleño na lalo pa po namin pag bubutihan ang aming trabaho at pagseserbisyo,” Santos said.
“Mula umpisa hanggang ngayon ay hindi po pinabayaan ni Mayor ang mga empleyado at tuloy-tuloy ang benepisyo at biyayang kanyang ibinibigay. Tunay na may puso para sa mga manggagawa. Kaya muli po, maraming salamat po Mayor Pogi at mabuhay po kayo,” Santos added.
