Reports said the culled chicken were from a certain SBC poultry farm, owned by a certain Sandra Co in Barangay Concepcion here.
Dr. Soledad Garcia, municipal veterinary officer, refused to comment on the report citing established protocol that was created in the aftermath of the bird flu outbreak in the adjacent towns of San Isidro and Jaen last September.
“Kami yung nasa pinakamababa (in the hierarchy), “ Garcia said.
A geo tagging conducted by the Bureau of Animal Industry and local veterinary office showed SBC was one of the 15 poultry farms in operation here.
Five of which were vacant since September, the records showed.
