Filling the position to be vacated by Joet as Balanga City mayor is their youngest brother Francis Garcia, a financial analyst and member of the Board of Directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

Seeking re-election as mayor of Dinalupihan, Bataan is Maria Gila Garcia.

She is on her second term.

Francis and Gila registered their candidacy at the Comelec offices in Balanga and Dinalupihan, respectively.

Tet and his four children are under the banner of the National Unity Party that coalesced with the Liberal Party recently. Governor Garcia is NUP president.
