4 nabbed in drug ops

SAN MARCELINO, Zambales – Four suspects included in the drug watch list were arrested in drug operations by joint elements of the Zambales police provincial drug enforcement and intelligence units and this town’s police in Barangay Rabanes here Sunday.

Town police chief Major Janice Piga identified the suspects as Minalyn Calderon y Beza, 32, of San Antonio, Zambales and her cohorts Eloi dalpazi y Janawi, Jayson Villagracia y Ednalan, and Jonalyn Sanchez y Yusayan, all of legal age and residents of nearby towns.

According to deputy police chief Lt. Felix A. Laron III, the sting operation yielded 28 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 20 grams with street value of P136,000, and several drug paraphernalia.

Police records showed Calderon is a member of a notorious criminal group and tagged as a “high value individual” while Dalpazi and Ednalan were arrested in 2013 and 2016 on drug-related cases.

The records also showed all four suspects are included in PNP’s drug watch list.

Charges for violation of Sections 5 in relation to 26 (b), 11 and 12 under Article II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been filed against the suspects at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Olongapo City.
