4 nabbed for drugs

    OLONGAPO CITY—Four persons were arrested by joint operatives of the Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (ZCIDT) and Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) during a raid on the suspected hang out of drug peddlers in Barangay Burgos, San Antonio, Zambales.

    Under the “One time, Big time” project of CIDG in relation to Oplan Lambat-Sibat headed by Chief Inspector Ferdinand Mendoza of ZCIDT and Inspector Carlito Ballon, Jr. of San Antonio PNP, the raid was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Olongapo City Judge Richard Paradeza of RTC, Branch 72.

    Arrested were Rasul Abubacar, 39; Salahoden Abdula, 35; Jalil Mamarrala, 23 and Marlon Balatayo, 44, all residents of Muslim Compound, Purok 3, Barangay Burgos, San Antonio, Zambales.

    The raiding team recovered six pieces transparent plastic sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, pieces of ammunition for .38, 9mm and 12 gauge shot gun, magazine assembly of .45 pistol; two pieces of hand grenade and one undocumented motorcyle.

    The suspects are now in custody of ZCIDT facing charges for violation of RA 10591, RA 9516 (explosives) and RA 9165.
