BALANGA City, Bataan: The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Partylist Pusong Pinoy conducted Friday the payout of P5,000 each to 300 beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
Pusong Pinoy Partylist Rep. Jernie “Jett” Nisay said that since the launching of AICS, their group has brought assistance to more than 5,000 individuals. Nisay became the first congressman in 2022 of Pusong Pinoy, the first registered partylist in Bataan.
The cash distribution was held at the covered court of Barangay Dona Francisca in Balanga City.
Nisay said that among the AICS beneficiaries for the food subsidy Friday were those engaged in different sports, senior citizens, barangay frontliners and other sectors.
He said that they wanted to help those excelling in sport activities and bringing honor to Bataan like those participating in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, Palarong Pambansa and other sports competition.
The partylist has already given financial assistance and ready to assist those in cycling, football, basketball, swimming, volleyball and other sports.
Nisay said that aside from AICS, their partylist also provides medical assistance to different sectors, especially the indigents and partly fund the construction of sports centers like recently the Samal multi-purpose gym.(30)
