MARIVELES – Police nabbed three suspected drug peddlers and confiscated an estimated P300,000-worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation here Thursday night.
Lt. Col. Emelito Dela Cruz, Mariveles police chief, identified the suspects as Stephen Arroyo, 37; Jade Aisen, 21 and Ruby Ann Majarucon, 32; all of Cabcaben, Mariveles.
Arroyo was listed as a high value target while his two companions were newly-identified in the drug trade.
Dela Cruz said the suspects were nabbed after Majarucon handed to Aisen and to the police-poseur-buyer a piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu and Arroyo receiving the P1,000-buy bust money.
“Upon protective search, another knot-tied large plastic containing shabu was confiscated from Arroyo with estimated value of P300,000,” the police chief said.
He said the operation was conducted in barangay Cabcaben by operatives of the drug enforcement units of the Mariveles police station and the provincial police and the 2nd Police Mobile Force Company in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 3.
The suspects underwent documentation and face case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Dela Cruz said.
