3 men nabbed over metals taken from power plant

    MARIVELES, Bataan- Police on Monday reported the arrest of three men and the confiscation of 400 kilograms of assorted metals reportedly that included ground wires they allegedly stole Sunday midnight from the Chinese-owned GN Power Plant undergoing construction in Barangay Alas-Asin here.

    Supt. Joel Tampis, Mariveles police chief, identified the suspects as dump truck driver Jose de Mesa II, 33, of San Carlos and helpers Francisco Bielsa, 33 and Nelson Bernardez, 36, of Alas-Asin all in Mariveles town.

    Police said Benjamin Yunzaga, security officer of King Star Agency, turned over the three suspects after the discovery of 400 kilograms of assorted metals worth P20,000 loaded in the dump truck at 12:00 p.m.
