Police said an attending physician of the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City declared rider Genaro Motanas, 29, and backrider Danilo Kimbo, 28, dead on arrival while another backrider, Milandro Motanas, 24, died a few minutes after.
The two Motanas are brothers while Kimbo is their cousin. Their bodies in simple coffins of the same color and make lie in state in a small room of a house in Liyang, a few meters from the site of the accident.
The rider just got married a month ago while the two were still single.
PO2 Jay-Are DR de Vega, Pilar police investigator, said that the passenger jeepney and the motorcycle were both travelling in one direction from Balanga City towards Bagac, Bataan when the jeepney stopped to unload a passenger at about 6:30 in the evening.
The motorcycle then hit the rear side portion of the jeepney that caused the death of the three victims, the investigator said.
Police are still investigating the incident, said Senior Insp. Leobaldom Bacon, Pilar police chief.
