IBA, Zambales — Three escapees from the Zambales Provincial Jail were immediately recaptured by combined units of law enforcers yesterday in two different places.
Zambales police director Col. Ricardo Pangan, Jr. identified those arrested as Bongbong Manalo y Agalon, 28, jailed for mutilation cases; Bernardo Subrenilla y Tanamal, 23, for violation of RA 10591 and the Omnibus Election Code; and Fernando Dimalanta Jr y Dela Cruz, 21, for robbery.
Report said the trio was asked to dispose of the garbage of the provincial jail, apparently without guards, and then took advantage and escaped to different directions.
Manalo and Subrenilla, were arrested in neighboring Barangay Bancal, Botolan town, while Dimalanta was arrested in a place within the barangay where the jail compound was located.
The combined forces from the provincial jail, the police stations of Iba and Botolan, provincial intelligence unit, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted the manhunt operations.
“The immediate action and response of the police led to the arrest of the three escapees,” Col. Pangan said.
