Thus, said Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago as he lauded the city police for the arrest of three high-value targets for illegal drugs in a buy-bust in Barangay Lourdes Wednesday.
The buy-bust led by city police chief Lt. Col. Paul Gamido with the special drug enforcement unit resulted to the apprehension of Ed Brianne Bajala, 26; Brynere Tagtag, 33; and, Raymond Cabusas, 40, all residents of Baguio City.
Confiscated from the suspects were a block of dried marijuana leaves, two medium size heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, P26,200 in cash, bags, mobile phones, and a vehicle.
The chief of police said that the arrest of these suspects and confiscation of the suspected illegal drugs will help stop the proliferation of illegal activities even in other areas of the city.
This, as he warned: “Kaya ang babala natin sa mga nagbabalak na magbagsak ng iligal na droga sa siyudad, wala po kayong lugar dito.”
Police said the suspects have already been subjected to inquest proceedings while the confiscated suspected illegal drugs will be brought to the Philippine National Police crime laboratory for examination. With CSFP-CIO
