IBA, Zambales — Three suspected members of the so-called Canonizado Drug Group operating in this province were arrested by elements of CIDG-Zambales on March 26, yielding guns, ammunitions and drugs.
CIDG-Zambales chief Major Johnathan Mostoles identified the suspects as Erwin Canonizado, 45; Roderick Talplacido, 38; and Lezyl Villagracia, 32, all residents of Purok 5, Barangay Farañal, San Felipe, Zambales.
The suspects were arrested by virtue of warrant issued by Judge Santiago Beltran, RTC Branch 69, Iba, Zambales and pursuant to Oplan Paglalansag, Omega, Salikop and Big Bertha operations of CIDG.
Recovered from the suspects were one .45 pistol (Serial No. 15348) loaded with seven live ammos; one plastic ammunition box containing 50 rounds of .45 bullets; one M26 hand grenade M26; assorted drug paraphernalia; one digital weighing scale and 17 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams with estimated market value of P340,000.
All the suspects are now under the custody of CIDG-Zambales facing charges for violation of RA 10591, RA 9516, and RA 9165.
