CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The law enforcement campaign against fake notaries resulted to the arrest of three persons in an entrapment operation at the Ruby Documentation Services office in Plaza Burgos, Barangay Sto. Nino, Guagua town on March 6.

The arrested suspects were identified as Sadodin Dimaporo, 28, of 075 Purok 4, St. James Street, Barangay Sta Filomena, and Kenneth Franz Manio, 23, of 293 Purok 2, Barangay San Miguel, both in Guagua; and Ruben Castillo, 47, of Becuran Sta. Rita, Pampanga.

A police report said the suspects were “caught in the act with conspiracy to one another engaged in unauthorized/fake notarial services impersonating and/or using fictitious names of lawyers and their roll numbers” by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Pampanga Field Unit, with the IBP-Pampanga
Chapter Task Force versus Fake Notaries led by Atty. Peter Paul Maglalang, the Guagua police, and the 1st provincial mobile force company.

Confiscated from the suspects were one genuine P500 bill with SN: AC162132 dusted with UV powder, 21 pieces of assorted notary documentary stamps, two pieces of adjustable date stamps, one notarial seal, one Record Book marked “Ruby Documentation Service”, one piece of notarized affidavit of loss of used by the poseur-client, three stamp pads, one system computer, one Epson computer printer, one cash box containing sales amounting to P3,000 in different denominations, one copy of BIR Permit, and one copy of business permit.

Police said the operation was prompted by a complaint lodged by IBP-Pampanga over reports of individuals “using the names of both existent and non-existent or fictitious lawyers along with fictitious details such as roll of attorneys number, and notarial commission number to give the impression of authenticity and has been notarizing documents or performing notarial acts without authority.”

Along with the confiscated pieces of evidence, the suspects were brought to the CIDG-Pampanga office for “documentation and proper disposition.”

Last February 27, five persons reportedly engaged in similar fake notarial services were arrested by operatives of the CIDG-Angeles City also in entrapment operations along MacArthur Highway, in Barangay Sto. Domingo. Angeles City. Punto News Team/Contributed photos
