ABUCAY, Bataan: Three individuals were arrested while firearm and shabu were confiscated in the serving of a search warrant in Barangay Mabatang here on Thursday morning.
Major Gerald John Bautista, Abucay police chief, said those arrested were a 51-year old male river ranger, a 28-year old male Overseas Filipino Worker and a 45-year old carpenter, all residents of Mabatang.
Bautista in a report to Bataan police director Col. Palmer Tria said the arrest of the suspects led in the confiscation of one rifle caliber .22 and ammunition, drug paraphernalia and suspected 3.2 grams of shabu.
Joint personnel of the Bataan Police Investigation Unit and the Abucay municipal police station served and implemented the search warrant against the river ranger that led to his arrest.
Report showed that while in the process of serving the Search Warrant, the two others were caught in the act of pot session using suspected shabu and found in their possession the rifle with seven pieces of ammunition.
Bautista said they were readying charges for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) against the suspects. (30)
