CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga- A total of 270 individuals who’ve undergone skills development training under the provincial government received financial assistance on Monday, May 13.
On behalf of Governor Dennis Delta Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda and former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led the distribution of assistance in ceremonies held the Benigno Hall, Capitol Compound.
Vice Governor Lilia Pineda emphasized the importance of learning and skills enhancement in today’s rapidly evolving job market.
“Agyang pepagtrain dana kayu, kailangan yu paring ipagpatuloy para tuloy-tuloy kayung mabiyasa. Agyang binitawan da kayu, mikakawani tana, at least abalu mi ing perang sinaup na ning Kapitolyo makasaup ya king pamilya yu,” she said.
The said beneficiaries completed free various livelihood and skills training programs, from diverse courses including massage therapy, call center operations, housekeeping, shielded metal arc welding, automotive mechanics, plumbing, livelihood management, and domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning through the help of the Provincial Manpower and Training Center (PMTC). Training durations lasted from 20 days to 6-months.
Former Board Member Cayabyab added that the success of the trainees can help drive sustainable economic growth and improve livelihoods across the province. Each trainee received P3,500 worth of cash incentive from the provincial government.
“Ang kapitolyo hindi lang tumutulong sa mga may sakit, sa mga nangangailangan, gusto rin naming matulungan at magkaroon agad ng trabaho kaya itong training na ito naniniwala ako na magiging edge nila para mahire sila agad para mas mataas ang edge nila doon sa ibang nag-aapply,” she said.
Also present during the activity were Board Members Fritzie David Dizon, Nelson Calara, Cherry Manalo, JC Cruz, Atty. Claire Lim, and PESO Manager Luningning Vergara.
