26 micro entrepreneurs in Sta. Ignacia receive business kits from DTI

TARLAC CITY (PIA) – A total of 26 carinderia owners in Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac received business kits from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

This is under Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program

DTI Tarlac Senior Trade and Industry Specialist Divine Ramos explained that the initiative is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program which aims to support microenterprises affected by incidents such as fire or other calamities and health disasters like pandemics to restart their businesses.

“Aside from those affected by calamities, it also intends to provide livelihood opportunities for identified beneficiaries in areas considered as priorities of the national government for the purpose of establishing a microenterprise,” Ramos said.

In coordination with the municipal government of Sta. Ignacia, recipients were assessed, validated, and profiled.

For her part, Sta. Ignacia Mayor Nora Modomo extended here gratitude to the organization and congratulated her constituents.

“Rest assured that the municipal government of Sta. Ignacia will always have your back and one of our programs, which is the improvement of our food court will also benefit your business,” the local chief executive said.

Through the Negosyo Center, micro entrepreneurs will be regularly monitored for their business growth and development. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
