CABANATUAN CITY – Police have arrested a total of 202 people and seized over P215,592 worth of illegal drugs and 41 assorted firearms in a 15-day province-wide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO), the provincial information office reported Tuesday.
At least 54 suspected illegal drugs peddlers were arrested during such operations, said Col. Richard Caballero, Nueva Ecija police director.
“The operations also resulted in the seizure of more or less 30.39 grams of shabu and 39.3 grams of marijuana with a combined estimated worth of P215,592,” the PIO reported.
The arrests included 71 people with pending arrest warrants, 12 of them were listed in the police most wanted for various criminal charges, police said.
Meanwhile, 32 loose firearms were recovered in the PNP Balik-Baril Program and nine were confiscated during police operations.
“These apprehensions represent a noteworthy achievement in our continuous endeavors to address criminal activities and uphold public safety,” Caballero said, noting that Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo, Jr. has been working “to ensure peace and order throughout Central Luzon.”
