TARLAC CITY – At least 200 members of the Magsasaka ng Asyenda Luisita (Malaya), who are severely affected by the enhanced community quarantine, were given assistance by the Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) and the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd MIB) here.
Each Malaya member received a food pack consisting of three kilos of rice, one loaf of bread, nine eggs, two packs of instant noodles, three canned goods and five sachets of peanut butter.
“The Armed Forces of the Philippines is here to help and support every Filipino no matter what happens,” 3rd MIB commanding officer Lt. Col. Norberto Aromin Jr. said.
On behalf of the members, Malaya chair Flor Sibayan expressed her gratitude to Nolcom and the 3rd MIB for showing their support in the midst of the health crisis.
