IBA, Zambales – Twenty wanted persons were arrested by the Zambales Police Provincial Office in a weeklong anti-crime drive.
ZPPO director Col. Fitz A. Macariola said the operations undertaken on February 15 to 21, resulted to the apprehension of five personalities in the most wanted list, and 15 individuals with standing warrants of arrest for different crimes.
Two were arrested in the intensified campaign against loose firearms, yielding one air rifle and a .38 revolver.
The campaign against illegal drugs netted seven. Seized were 22 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 19.52 grams with street value of P132,736.00 and three other heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected marijuana weighing 7.42 grams with street value of P890.40.
Three were arrested for illegal gambling with P322 in bet money confiscated.
Three others were nabbed for illegal logging, yielding 606.6 board feet of lumber with a monetary value of P36,768.
