TARLAC CITY (PIA) — About 20 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries in Concepcion, Tarlac participated in the entrepreneurial mind-setting and skills training of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
This is a regular program of the agency that seeks to increase the number of individuals engaging in entrepreneurship.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said the activity aims to equip the attendees with new skills while encouraging them to engage in business.
“The training does not only teach them about creating products but also instill in them entrepreneurial characteristics necessary for doing business,” Balilo said.
Negosyo Center Concepcion Business Counselor Michael Ralph Silverio discussed the basics of entrepreneurship, and the different programs and services of DTI potential and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Joyce Nerizon, an entrepreneur specializing in party needs, shared the processes of making delectable confections such as polvoron, pastillas, and yema.
