SUBIC, Zambales — Two suspected drug pushers yielded some P100,000 worth of shabu after their arrest by operatives of Subic PNP drugs enforcement unit and Zambales 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company in a buy–bust operation along the National Highway, Barangay Mangan-Vaca of this town.
Subic police chief Capt. Rolando Ballon identified the suspects as Jeffrey Morante y Garcia alias Joey, 45, andArman Mendoza y Cruz, 24 — both of Purok 3, Barangay Del Pilar, Castillejos town. Morante is in the drug watchlist of the Castilllejos police.
Police report said that at about 10:15 p.m. on August 29, the suspects were arrested selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police poseur–buyer.
Recovered from the suspects were the sachet of shabu in the buy-bust, the P500 marked money, four other sachets of shabu weighing about 50 grams with an estimated value of P110,000, one plastic container, one P100 bill, (Php100.00), an a metallic gray Toyota Vios bearing license plate number CAT-7401.
The suspects are now detained at Subic PNP detention cell facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165
