HERMOSA, Bataan — Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of two suspected drug peddlers and confiscation of eight small heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations here.
Police Major Jeffrey Onde, Hermosa police chief, said the first to fall was Dexter dela Cruz, 21, laborer, of Barangay Palihan, Hermosa.
Dela Cruz was caught allegedly in the act of selling to a police-poseur-buyer a small sachet of shabu attached to a masking tape in exchange for P500-marked bill in an operation in Barangay Culis.
“Upon protective search, another three small size plastic sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated in the possession of suspect,” Onde said.
Next to be arrested was Mark Anthony Sobreviga, 25, vendor, of Barangay Culis. He was caught while allegedly handing a small plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police-poseur-buyer in consideration for P500-marked bill in the buy-bust operation in the same barangay, the police chief said.
Follow-up search revealed the presence of another three small sachets containing white substance believed to be shabu in the possession of Sobreviga, police said.
“The two suspects face charges for violation of Section 5 & 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act or Republic Act 9165,” Onde said.
