LIMAY, Bataan — Police on Tuesday reported the apprehension of two alleged notorious drug pushers in a buy–bust operation Monday evening.
Major Emelito M. Dela Cruz, Limay police chief, said arrested were Rogelio Santos, 52, of Duale and Godofredo Marzan, 66, of Reformista, both in Limay.
The suspects were reportedly already detained for drug offenses but entered into plea bargaining so were able to get out of jail.
“However, the two who are included in the drugs watch list went back to drug pushing until their arrest,” Dela Cruz said.
The arrest was made after a police poseur-buyer bought from suspects a small sachet of shabu for P1,000 that led to the seizure of 14 other sachets of the same substance.
Joint operatives from the police provincial drug enforcement unit, provincial intelligence branch, 2ndPolice Mobile Company and Limay special drug enforcement unit in coordination with the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency conducted the operation.
Police are preparing cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against then two, Dela Cruz said.
