MABALACAT CITY – Two drug suspects were killed while nine others were arrested during police anti-Illegal operations in various parts of Pampanga since last Thursday.
A report from the office of Pampanga police chief Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador identified one of the slain suspects as Jhosyl Clemente. The identity of the other male suspect was not immediately known.
The two were shot dead by the police after they allegedly tried to shoot at arresting policemen after a successful buy-bust sting in Barangay Mawaque Maragul in this city last Friday.
The cops shot back and killed the two. Police investigators later found a total of 12 pieces of empty shells for a 9mm pistol, two .38 revolvers, and one Yamaha Mio Sporty without plate number.
The Pampanga police also reported the arrest of nine other suspected drug peddlers in the towns of San Simon, Macabebe, Guagua, Arayat, Lubao and San Luis.
All the operations were coordinated with the regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
