BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office in Camp Cirilo Tolentino here reported the arrest of two suspected drug personalities and confiscated shabu with equivalent value of P95,200 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mulawin in Orani, Bataan on Thursday.
Major Francis Jimenez, Orani police chief, reported to Bataan police director Col. Palmer Tria that drug enforcement unit operatives of the Orani municipal police station conducted the operation that led to the seizure of about 14 grams of shabu.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were readied against the suspects, Jimenez said.
Tria said the Bataan PNP has demonstrated commendable swift action in its ongoing fight against illegal drugs in the province.
“Through enhanced intelligence operations, effective coordination with other law enforcement units, and a focused commitment to public safety, our local police has been able to disrupt the operations against drug personalities and seized quantities of illegal drugs,” the PD furthered.
“These efforts reflect the Bataan PNP’s and the community’s dedication to protect the public and ensure the safety and well-being of our fellow Bataeños,” Tria concluded.
