BALANGA CITY — Police arrested two suspected drug peddlers and confiscated illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in a Barangay Tuyo here Wednesday night.
City police chief Major Sonia M. Alvarez identified the suspects as Fernando Pangilinan, 30, a National Food Authority employee, and Dennis Manalo, 39, tricycle driver, both of Barangay Camacho this city.
Elements of the city police led by Lt. Gilcerio D. Dizon, Jr. conducted the anti-illegal drug buy-bust against the suspects and were able to buy a piece of medium-sized transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for P500.
The raiding team was also able to confiscate five more pieces of substance believed to be shabu in the possession of suspects, Alvarez said.
The suspects were brought to the Orani District Hospital for medical examination and placed under thecustody of the Balanga City police for documentation prior to filing of appropriate case.
Alvarez said they were readying charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act against the suspect.
