IBA, Zambales — A composite team of the Zambales police, 305th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, and Zambales Maritime Police Station arrested in separate operations two persons for illegal possession of firearms on Wednesday.
The first suspect, reportedly in hiding for 22 years, was identified as Eddie dela Cruz Delideli, resident of Barangay San Juan, Botolan, Zambales.
Zambales police director Col. Fitz A. Macariola said the suspect was arrested by a team led by Capt. Jhon Jefferson B. Delos Reyes by virtue of alias warrant of arrest for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) issued by Regional Trial Court, Third Judicial Region, Branch 70, Iba, Zambales with recommended bail of P200,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
In Sta. Cruz, Zambales, police arrested Hermy Valencia Almazan, resident of Barangay Lucapon South, also for violation of RA 10591 with the warrant issued by also by RTC, Branch 70.
Recovered from the suspect were one .38 revolver, one Thompson machine pistol M2A3 and assorted ammunitions.
