OLONGAPO CITY — Police authorities here continue to net more suspected drug pushers in line with the relentless campaign against illegal drugs.
The drug enforcement unit of Police Station 4 (PS4) headed by Capt. Walter Primero arrested two suspected pushers in the act of selling a sachet of shabu worth P200 to a police poseur–buyer along the National Highway at Purok 2, Barangay Old Cabalan.
The arrested suspects were identified as Ranillo Ortiguerra y Doloroso, 30, and Gilbert Ballesteros y Baguisa, 30, both residents of Barangay Old Cabalan.
Confiscated from them were seven transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 1.74 grams with a street value of P3,200.
The suspects were both detained at the PS4 detention cell facing charges for violation of RA 9165 and City Ordinance No. 6 Series of 2020 (Face Mask and Social Distancing Ordinance of Olongapo City).
City police director Col. Benjamin Sembrano, Jr.lauded the PS4 members under the leadership of Capt. Primero for their accomplishments in the campaign against illegal drugs.
