IBA, Zambales — Two provincial level most wanted persons were arrested in separate manhunt operations here and in Sta Cruz town Thursday.
Col. Fitz A. Macariola, OIC-director of the Zambales Police Provincial Office identified those arrested as John Dumapit Rostrata, 50, presently residing at Barangay San Agustin, Iba; and Christian Meva Valdez, 34, of Barangay Lipay, Sta Cruz, Zambales.
In his report to Macariola, Major Christopher L. Baybayan, acting chief of police of Iba, said a team led by Lt. John Ignacio arrested suspect Rostrata by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Marifi p. Chua of RTC Branch 70, Iba for frustrated murder docketed under Criminal Case No.RTC-4323-I dated Jan. 18, 2017 for service of sentence.
In Sta. Cruz, joint elements of the town police, provincial intelligence unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and 305th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 arrested Valdez by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Consuelo Amog-Bocar of Third Judicial Region, RTC Branch 71, Iba for homicide with CC# RTC-7226-I dated Dec. 6, 2021 to serve his sentence.
“The entire Zambales Police Provincial Office together with other PNP units continue its intensified campaign to put lawless elements and wanted persons behind bars and maximize its efforts to eradicate all forms of lawlessness in the province” said Macariola.
