CABANATUAN CITY – Two alleged peddlers of illegal drugs were killed in separate drug stings within a five-hour span here and Talavera town over the weekend.
Police Col. Leon Victor Rosete, Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the suspects as Mhel Ador Dionisio, jobless, of Barangay San Pascual, Talavera. and Gil Martinez of Mayapyap Norte this city.
Ador Dionisio died of bullet wounds from police operatives after he allegedly opened fire against the latter in a buy-bust operation along bypass road in Barangay Sampaloc, Talavera at around 9:50 p.m. Saturday.
He yielded a .38 revolver, a sachet of shabu, and the P1,000 marked money, police said.
Martinez, on the other hand, was killed in similar operation by the city police’s drug enforcement unit at about 1:50 a.m. Sunday in Barangay Bantug Norte.
Forensic investigators recovered from Martinez a .38 revolver, ten sachets of alleged shabu, the P500 buy bust money, and a tricycle, according to city police chief, P/ Lt. Col. Ponciano Zafra.
