2 drug dens raided, 10 arrested

ABUCAY, Bataan — The Philippine National Police dismantled two suspected drug dens and arrested 10 suspects in two simultaneous buy-bust and high impact operations here Friday.

Abucay police chief Major Leopoldo L. Estorque, Jr. said five suspects were nabbed in the first drug den and another five in the second, both in Barangay Wawa. 

The first to fall were Jomar Tiongson, 28; Eduardo Dela Cruz, 26; Ronnie Dizon, 26; Mark Tiongson, 28 and Roxanne Yuson, 36; all of Barangay Wawa.

Arrested in the second operation were Rollie Dizon, 29; John Paul Dizon, 19; Ronnie Dizon, 52; Rommel Tiongson, 41 and Alfredo Visda, 23; also all from Wawa.

Recovered from the two drug dens were suspected sachets of shabu with estimated street value of P197,000, Estorque said in a report to Bataan police director Col. Joel Tampis.

Raiding team from the Abucay police station, Bataan police office and the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency seized in the first operation two small sachets, four medium sachets and two large sachets of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

In the second raid, two small and two medium sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated. Buy bust marked money were recovered in the operations, Estorque said.

The suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought for laboratory examination to PDEA Regional office 3 in San Fernando, Pampanga.

Estorque said the suspects face charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Sections 26, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 15 of RA9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
