IBA, Zambales – The Commission on Elections office here released as of 3 p.m. Oct. 8, the partial list of those who have filed their certificates of candidacy for the House of Representatives, governor, and vice-governor in the province.
To contest the 1st District comprising Olongapo City and the towns of San Marcelino, Castillejos, and Subic are incumbent Vice Gov. Jefferson Ferrer Khonghun and former Rep. Maria Milagros Esperanza Habana Magsaysay.
In the 2nd District composed of San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe, Cabangan, Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, and Sta. Cruz, the contest will be between Botolan Mayor Doris Ecdao Maniquiz and former Gov. Amor Dominado Deloso.
A three-cornered fight is seen in the gubernatorial race among incumbent Gov. Hermogenes Edejer Ebdane, 2nd District Rep. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla and a certain Milinia Ranchez Nuesca.
In the vice-gubernatorial contest, Jacqueline Rose Ferrer Khonghun seeks to take over her brother Vice Gov. Khonghun against former Vice Gov. Ramon Groesbeck Lacbain II.
