LIMAY, Bataan — Police on Sunday reported that two died when the car they were riding collided head-on with an incoming truck along the Roman Highway in a village here Saturday night.
Major Madtaib Jalman, Limay police chief, said car driver Allan Garcia of Limay who was pinned on the steering wheel was declared dead on arrival at the Limay Health Center.
Car passenger Danny Malubag was rushed to the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City but later died, police said.
Isuzu truck driver Judito Bradecina of Caloocan City was unhurt.
Report showed that the car was headed for the Balanga City direction when it overtook a vehicle. In the process, it collided with the incoming Isuzu truck, police said.
The collision caused massive damage to both car and the truck.
The police chief said the truck driver was detained at the Limay police station and faces a case for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
