2 arrested for robbery

OLONGAPO CITY – Two alleged notorious robbers operating in this city and in the provinces of Bataan and Zambales were arrested by elements of Police Station 6 of the city police after they robbed a cashier on July 17.

Police Station 6 commander Capt. Melchor Catigday identified the suspects as Ryan Elejorde y Santos, 39, of No.1 Murphy St., Barangay Pag-asa, and Jeremy Diunido y Anos, 33, of Plaza Dos, Barangay Barretto, both in this city.

Police said the victim, Danna Grace Lacambra y Dagohoy, 32, cashier, of No. 16, Lacambra St., Barangay Barretto was walking along Elane St. when the suspects onboard a black Toyota Vios (CAL 5141) forcibly grabbed the victim’s leather shoulder bag containing cash amounting to P3,000, assorted IDs, ATM cards in a wallet, one C11 Real Me cellphone worth P7,000, one Timex watch worth P10,000

“Bago nanghablot ng bag dito sa Barangay Barretto yung mga suspek, nagkarga pa ng gasolina sa Washington St. sa Olongapo nang hindi nagbayad. May mga kaso din sa Balanga City ang mga suspek sa kasong pagnanakaw,” said Catigday.

The suspects were arrested during follow-up operation and recovered from their possession were a black OPPO cellphone, a black Itel cellphone, assorted ATM cards, and LTO driver’s license.
Also recovered from the suspects were one replica of 9MM Berretta and their getaway Toyota Vios car.

The suspects were detained at Police Station 6 facing charges for robbery-snatching and violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
