Chief Inspector Leinardo Madrid, head of Subic PNP, arrested suspect Jason Minimo, 25, resident of No. 34 Geronimo St., Barangay Barretto, Olongapo City while in possession of .38 paltik revolver loaded with three live ammunitions. Investigation disclosed that a certain Egie Boy Ocampo filed a complaint in Barangay Calapandayan against Minimo for gun totting.
In San Marcelino, joint elements of the local police and the Provincial Public Safety Company led by Senior Inspector Rolando C. Dellezo were conducting patrol at Sitio Quartel, Barangay Aglao when they spotted Edwin De Vera, 37, with a long fire arm slung on his shoulder.
After De Vera failed to produce any pertinent document, he was immediately arrested. Recovered from him were one .38 handgun loaded with five live ammo tucked on his waist, one improvised shotgun slung and one 10-inch bladed weapon.
Both suspects were charged for violation of RA 8294 amended by RA 1059 or the Illegal Possession of Ammunition and Deadly Weapon Act.
