CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 19,000 overseas and local jobs that include managerial posts will be open to applicants during the 112th Labor Day job fairs slated in key sites across Central Luzon on May 1.
“The jobs are for managers, supervisors, customer service representatives, sales clerks,office clerks, production workers, machine operators, service workers, engineers, administrative assistants, cooks, waiters, construction workers, plumbers and factory workers,” Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Director Raymundo Agravante said.
With the theme “Sa Sipag, Tiyaga at Talino, Buong Mundo Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino,” the employment fest will be held in SM malls in Baliuag, Marilao, Pampanga, Clark, San Fernando downtown, Tarlac and Olongapo; SM Mega Center in Cabanatuan City; Camp Servillano Aquino in Tarlac; capitol grounds in Baler, Aurora; and President Ramon Magsaysay Sports Complex in Candelaria, Zambales.
Agravante also said job fairs are also slated at the provincial capitol compound in Cabanatuan City on May 2, Bataan People’s Center in Balanga City on May 6, and Talavera municipal gymnasium in Nueva Ecija on May 12. A total of 404 companies have confirmed their participation to the job fairs wherein 84 are overseas-based, he said.
“We urge jobseekers to bring multiple copies of their resumes, certificates of employment, transcript of records, clearance, photos, and other pertinent pre-employment documents needed by employers. Before going to the site, we advise them to pre-register at www. Phil-Job.net,” Agravante added.
He also said that apart from offering careers, government agencies such as Social Security System, National Bureau of Investigation, Department of Foreign Affairs, PhilHealth and Philippine Statistics Authority will be present in the venues to render their services to applicants and residents.
Agravante also announced that grantees of the DOLE Kabuhayan Starter KITS project will offer free massage and haircut while recipients of the Integrated Livelihood Program will be selling their products during the job fairs.
