TARLAC CITY (PIA) — A total of 176 graduates from various colleges of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) are set to take part in the Agrostudies International Training in Israel.
The 11-month on-the-job training is part of the global agriculture internship initiative of MASHAV—Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation.
This aims to provide greater opportunities for participants by introducing them to the workforce and equipping them with advanced agricultural knowledge through hands-on learning.
TAU graduates from the College of Agriculture and Forestry, College of Engineering and Technology, and College of Business and Management are said to take part in the international training under the batch 2025-2026.
To show the university’s utmost support for the participants, TAU held a send-off ceremony led by University President Silverio Ramon Salunson, together with Vice President for Finance and Administration Arnold Lorenzo, and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Sonny Torres.
TAU Student Placement Office (TAU-SPO) Vocational Placement Coordinator I and Agrostudies Coordinator Grace Kelly Dela Cruz emphasized that the international training is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the participants.
“We wish the interns every success as they begin this unique opportunity and look forward to their return with valuable knowledge and experience,” she said.
Meanwhile, around 500 students from the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority are also expected to participate.
With the help of TAU-SPO, the university commits to its mission of producing globally competent graduates through inclusive, high-quality employment and training opportunities for its students and alumni, such as the Agrostudies International Training. (CLJD/AJRR, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
