CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A total of 1,727 students from different towns in Pampanga received educational assistance through the scholarship program of the provincial government.
Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally led the distribution of aid to students at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Feb. 28, where each beneficiary received P4,000 through the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP).
One of the beneficiaries, 22-year-old working student Jonel Dizon, expressed his deep gratitude for the program. He credits the Capitol’s scholarship assistance for helping him stay on track toward achieving his dream of becoming an accountant.
Records from the provincial library show that the EFAP program benefits between 13,000 and 14,000 students across the province twice a year. Each beneficiary receives P4,000 per semester, helping to ease the financial burden on Kapampangan youth striving for academic success.
In addition to this, 81 scholars who successfully passed their board exams also received incentives of up to P15,000 from the provincial government. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
