ANGELES CITY – This city now has a total of 13 Puso Center primary care facilities, following the recent inauguration of the newest center in Barangay Amsic.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. led the opening on May 22 with councilors Atty. Arvin Suller and Niknok Bañola, ABC president Danilo Nacu, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and Barangay Amsic chairman Gerom Costales.
The opening of additional health centers is part of Lazatin’s commitment to provide accessible and quality health care to all Angeleños. Earlier this week, another facility was inaugurated in Barangay Anunas, while health centers in Barangays Capaya and Balibago are also set to open soon.
“Bago po tayo bumaba sa posisyon bilang mayor, tutuparin po natin ang pagbubukas ng mas maraming mga health facilities para sa ating mga kababayan,” Lazatin said.
The construction of nine more primary care facilities began in 2023, aligning with the city government’s goal to meet the ideal health service-to-population ratio.
Lazatin also emphasized the continued availability of medicines in each facility to ensure comprehensive primary care. Angeles CIO
