CABANATUAN CITY – Eight people, including the province’s second top priority target on illegal drugs, fell in simultaneous operations by units of the Nueva Ecija police office on Monday.
Nueva Ecija police director Col. Marvin Joe Saro said four other persons with pending arrest warrants for varied alleged offenses were also arrested.
He identified the top-ranked suspect as Jonjon Pangilinan y Patiag, 44, resident of
Barangay San Nicolas, Gapan City who was arrested with six sachets of suspected shabu in a buy–bust operation.
Also nabbed in drug stings were Oliver Simbillio, 34, Jaypee Gutierrez, 33, Julius Chris Inductivo, 30, and Allan Santiago, 40, all of San Miguel, Bulacan; Richard Bautista, 35, Louie Arimbuyutan, 23, and Arvin Jay Antonio, all of this city; and Merwin Manuel, 25, of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
All of the suspects yielded shabu of different amount and buy bust money, police reported.
Arrested on the strength of arrest warrants for different charges were Carlos Joseph Talplacido, 20, of Barangay Poblacion, San Isidro; Nicasio Constantino, 57, of Sto. Niño, Gapan City; Elly Operario, 67, and Erlinda Operario, 64, of Subol, Guimba town.
Saro said police will continue the crackdown against peddlers of illegal drugs and wanted persons in the province.
This, he said, is in response to the call of Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon to “intensify anti-illegal drugs and manhunt operations to free the entire Central Luzon from lawlessness.”
