BALANGA CITY – Bataan logged 12 new casualties from the coronavirus disease, considered as the highest number recorded in a day this year, that brought the number of deaths to 351, the provincial health office reported Saturday.
The new casualties were: 70-year-old male from Mariveles; 57-year-old female from Orion; 75-year-old female, 69-year-old male, 59-year-old female, 51-year-old male, 64-year-old female and 72-year-old female, all from Hermosa; 72-year-old and 66-year-old, both females from Pilar; and 77-year-old male and 74-year-old female from Dinalupihan.
The latest Covid–19 update also showed that the number of persons found positive rose to 10,627 with 1,336 active cases after 84 new confirmed cases were listed while those who recovered reached 9,106 with the addition of 256 new recoveries.
The number of new recoveries was also considered as record-high this year.
Among the new confirmed cases were: from Mariveles (27), Limay (14), Orion (11), Balanga City (9), Abucay (8), Hermosa (5), Bagac (2), Dinalupihan (2), Orani (2), Pilar (2), Morong (1) and Samal (1).
Hermosa has the most number of new recoveries with 148, followed by Mariveles – 29, Dinalupihan – 28, Balanga City – 11, Abucay – 9, Pilar – 9, Morong – 8, Samal – 5, Orani – 4, Bagac – 2, Orion – 2 and Limay – 1.
