In an advisory yesterday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said the power outage in this city will last from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. while in Mexico, it will last from 6 a.m. to 12 noon.
NGCP said the power shutdown was “to facilitate load splitting of AEC Line 1 and Line 2 and replacement of potential transformer on AEC Line 2 for metering and protection purposes.”
Aug. 31, a Monday, is National Heroes’ Day, a non-working holiday nationwide.
“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” NGCP added.
