CLARK FREEPORT — The North Philippines Tourism and Travel Expo rolled out at the SM City Clark Event Centre here from November 11 to 13.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo said “the event aims to serve as a call to action for all stakeholders in ensuring that tourism in our country will be stable, resilient, sustainable, transformative, and inclusive.”
A project of the DOT Regional Offices- 1, 2, 3, and CAR in cooperation with the Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon (ATOCEL) and the Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corp. (PETCo), it is the longest running and only tourism and travel exhibition in Northern Philippines which is being participated by people coming from different provinces.
This year’s North Phil Expo emphasized accessibility in line with the World Tourism Day’s theme: “Tourism for all. Promoting Universal Accessibility.”
The three-day event provided different activities for visitors and exhibitors such as a showcase of tourism and travel destinations, products, and services, Philippine provincial pavilions, corporate booths offering affordable and excellent tour packages, traders booths selling arts and crafts, souvenirs, and regional delicacies, and a showcase of tourism estates and properties.
There were also cultural presentations, Northphil quiz bee challenge, corporate game shows, raffle draws of hotel accommodations, and arts and crafts demonstrations.
The event concluded with the awarding program.
