116 Aeta scholars receive educational support from Capitol

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga– At least 116 Aeta scholars received educational financial support from the provincial government of Pampanga to continue their college education on Monday, March 27.

Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda led the distribution of P5,000 and P10,000 educational assistance to the Aeta student beneficiaries aside from the hygiene kits given by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD).

The said Aeta scholars are taking up Bachelor of Science in Criminology (25), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (1), Bachelor in Elementary Education (18), Bachelor in Hospital Management (2), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2), Bachelor of Science in Radiology (1), Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (5), Bachelor of Science in Sociology (10), Bachelor of Science in Social Work (43), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (2), Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (2), Technical Livelihood Education (1), and Bachelor in Secondary Education (3).

Governor Delta said the provincial government would continue this educational program for the Aeta children and youth because he believes this would help uplift the lives of the indigenous peoples (IPs) in the upland communities of Porac, Floridablanca, and Mabalacat City.
